Sharing the Lion City is a website by Royson Poh, an independent new media journalist, that aims to increase awareness on the needs of persons with disabilities and provides resources that are useful for individuals with disabilities, caregivers and disability professionals.
With close to 10 years experience in the non-profit sector, he has worked in the areas of vocational rehabilitation of ex-offenders and persons with disabilities, as well as advocacy and community engagement.
He served as a champion for the United Nations Convention for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD) with the National Council of Social Service. He is also a founding member of the AT Leadership Network, which promotes and implements the dispositions of the UNCRPD on ICT Accessibility and Assistive Technologies.
Royson graduated in 1999 with a business degree from the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and completed a masters degree in new media journalism with Full Sail University in 2013.
