Volunteers Help Intellectually Challenged Gain Confidence
SINGAPORE – Aaron Sng, 40, has been volunteering as a running-buddy for people with intellectual disabilities since 2008. Sng is one of many volunteers with Runninghour that help build confidence in people with intellectual disabilities through sports.
According to our earlier report, Runninghour is an inclusive running club where volunteers serve as running-buddies for members with intellectual disabilities as well as guides for visually challenged runners.
Sng talks about his experience as a running-buddy for the intellectually disabled and how Runninghour has become a source of motivation for him.
Runninghour’s next run will be held at Bay East Garden on July 20. Video|Royson Poh
